About SCBC

Southeastern Community Blood Center (SCBC) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Tallahassee, Fla. Together with Northwest Florida Blood Services, SCBC comprises the Northern Region of Florida Blood Services of St. Petersburg, Fla.

With the help of volunteer blood donors, our organization provides blood to patients in over 25 counties in the South Georgia and North Florida region. Since the creation of the blood center in 1953, we have focused continuously on the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve.

Southeastern Community Blood Center is licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the Florida Association of Blood Banks (FABB). We are also a proud to be a member of the National Marrow Donor Program, which helps find bone marrow matches for transplant patients.
