A Free Wash for Blood What do attorneys, grandparents and high school graduates have in common? Well, on August 16th, they not only needed their car washed, but they also responded to an opportunity to give blood. Super-Suds teamed up with SCBC for this gift-of-life blood donor promotion, by giving a free Super-Wash to any person donating blood at the Super-Suds blood drive. It helped the people of our community and took the grime off donor’s cars. The idea was developed by Ken Tyrrell, owner of Super-Suds, and SCBC recruiting staff. SCBC is also fortunate to have Ken as a member of its board of directors. This drive was very special because it came near the end of summer, a time when the blood supply seems to al-ways need a boost. College students have not yet returned, and many families are on vacation, yet the need for blood remains.
