Southeastern Community Blood Center hosted a final salute to summer with a Beach Party themed blood drive. Star 98 on-air personality, J.J. Steele, took entries for a trip to New Orleans, during a live-remote broadcast from SCBC’s main center in Tallahassee. The beach party was a rousing success with 219 units collected from the Tallahassee, Marianna, FL, Thomasville & Douglas, GA branches.

Four mobile unit blood drives also took place that day. Temple Melton, Mobile Unit Team Leader, is with chairperson, Brian Waterman, of Leon County Growth and Environental Management. This well-managed blood drive has faithfully provided a consistent group of donors who donate 6 – 8 times a year.
