Facing a Growing Challenge

On August 7, 2002, ACS (Affiliated Computer Services) was presented with SCBC’s Silent Hero Award plaque. They had reached a participation level of 59% in 2001-2002, up from their 48% participation level in 2000-2001.

ACS is an international company with operations in 35 countries, as well as one office located at 2308 Killearn Center Blvd. in Tallahassee. They recently added a new building at the local office, which now houses 400 employees! They love challenges and reaching goals, so they considered the presentation of their Silent Hero Award a challenge to reach higher levels of participation in the future.

At the blood drive the following day, 32 people donated, 10 more donors than the previous blood drive, putting them well on their way to reaching that goal
